  29. CNRI acknowledges, with thanks, the receipt by CNRI from Licensee of
  30. the above-described Contribution ("Contribution") to the Python
  31. software and its related documentation.
  32.  
  33. Licensee confirms to CNRI that, to the best of Licensee's knowledge
  34. and belief, the Contribution is free of any claims of parties other
  35. than Licensee under copyright, patent or other rights or interests
  36. ("claims").  To the extent that Licensee has any such claims, Licensee
  37. hereby grants to CNRI a nonexclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free,
  38. worldwide license to reproduce, distribute, perform and/or display
  39. publicly, prepare derivative versions, and otherwise use the
  40. Contribution as part of the Python software and its related
  41. documentation, or any derivative versions thereof, at no cost to CNRI
  42. or its licensed users and without any accounting obligation to
  43. Licensee of any kind, and to authorize others to do so.

  45. Licensee hereby acknowledges that CNRI may, at its sole discretion,
  46. decide whether or not to incorporate the Contribution in the Python
  47. software and its related documentation.  Licensee further grants CNRI
  48. permission to use Licensee's name and other identifying information
  49. provided to CNRI by Licensee for use in connection with the Python
  50. software and its related documentation.

  52. EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED HEREIN, LICENSEE MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS
  53. OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THE ABOVE-DESCRIBED
  54. CONTRIBUTION.  BY WAY OF EXAMPLE, BUT NOT LIMITATION, LICENSEE MAKES
  55. NO AND DISCLAIMS ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR
  56. FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.  IN NO EVENT SHALL LICENSEE BE
  57. LIABLE TO USERS OF THE CONTRIBUTION FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR
  58. CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOSS WHATSOEVER AS A RESULT OF USING,
  59. MODIFYING OR DISTRIBUTING THE CONTRIBUTION, OR ANY DERIVATIVE THEREOF,
  60. EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY THEREOF.
